Bulgaria reports more than 1,000 less new Covid infections per day

2,839 are the new cases of coronavirus registered in Bulgaria for the last 24 hours compared to 3,869 a day earlier, according to the National Coronavirus Information portal. 9% of the 31,683 tests performed returned positive.
164 patients died in the last 24 hours. 92% of them were non-vaccinated. The 3,349 patients cured per day again exceed the number of the newly infected.

The number of actively registered patients has decreased from 111,662 to 110,988. There are currently 7,544 patients in hospitals as 761 of them are in intensive care. Newly admitted patients are 770, as 90 percent of them have not been vaccinated.

21,520 vaccine jabs were administered in Bulgaria on Wednesday. 1,660,819 people are now fully vaccinated.
