September 16 is International Day of Tolerance.

“Tolerance is respect and appreciation of the rich variety of our world's cultures, our forms of expression and ways of being human, reads UNESCO's Declaration of Principles on Tolerance.

Today schoolchildren from Burgas will join a flashmob under the motto “My message for a better world", organized by the Centre for Jewish-Bulgarian Cooperation Alef.

“Let us be more tolerant – the world is a tapestry, that is what makes it beautiful!”, “Tolerance is compassion!” – are just come of the messages conveyed by the pupils from the Dr. Petar Beron Bulgarian secondary school in Prague. At the initiative of the student council each of them wrote their own appeal to the world down on a piece of paper, so as to make it a better place.
