Ministry of Finance forecasts accelerating inflation

Inflation will accelerate to 4.5% by the end of the year, the Ministry of Finance forecasts in its updated autumn assessment of the Bulgarian economy. The average annual price rise will be 2.4%. The main factor for inflation is the significant rise in the price of raw materials on world markets and especially those of energy and food.

This year, Bulgaria’s economy will grow by 4%, and next year it will accelerate to 4.6%, assuming that the implementation of the Recovery Plan begins, the ministry said.
