A third grader in Dobrich tested positive for Covid-19 during today’s testing at school. The child will undergo a laboratory test for Covid-19 as well. The student was not in contact with other children and the health protocol was observed. Primary school students in 13 Bulgarian districts have switched over to in-person learning today. Covid-19 testing took about 20 minutes, this country’s Ministry of Education and Science announced.

Young pupils can return to school under three conditions. They have to undergo Covid-19 testing, child-friendly tests must be available and parents must give their consent for their children to be tested for Covid-19, this country’s caretaker Minister of Education and Science Professor Nikolay Denkov said. Distance learning continues, if one of these conditions is not satisfied.
