Bulgaria reports 4,734 new daily coronavirus cases, a positivity rate of 11.8%

4,734 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 40,086 tests performed in the past day, a positivity rate of 11.8%, National Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 84.90% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated.

8,262 people are being treated in hospital, 724 of them in intensive care. 910 is the number of new hospitalizations in the past 24 hours, 93 or 10.22% of them of people who have been vaccinated.

185 is the number of Covid-related deaths in the past day, 92.97% of them were not vaccinated. 2,739 is the number of registered recoveries in the past day. The highest number of new infections is reported in Sofia – 1,179, Plovdiv – 490, Varna – 377 and Blagoevgrad – 258. 

20,272 doses of vaccine were administered in the past day bringing the total number of vaccinations to 2,954,059The number of people in the country who are now fully vaccinated is 1,559,169.

25,630 is the number of people with three doses of vaccine.
