The hospital in Bulgaria's Vidin warns of shortage of Covid beds

The hospital in Vidin, Northwestern Bulgaria, has sought help from the Ministry of Health because it can no longer accept patients with coranavirus. The patients are transported from the emergency centre to other medical institutions in the country, mainly in Sofia.

40% of the places in the hospital in Vidin are for patients with Covid-19 and all of them are occupied, including the intensive care units. "The problem is the lack of staff to care for and treat the sick," said the director of the Regional Health Inspectorate, Dr. Ventsislav Vladinski. 
According to statistics for the day, the region has the highest mortality rate for the country, BNR Vidin reported.
