Ministry of Health: A positive antibody test result is not enough to issue a green certificate

A positive result of an antibody test for Covid-19 is not sufficient to issue a green certificate, announced Bulgaria’s Ministry of Health. The ministry refers to a statement of the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control which reads that a positive antibody test result cannot rule out an ongoing infection and does not provide any indication of the time of infection.

Meanwhile, representatives of the restaurant and tourism industry insist that the presence of antibodies is enough to issue a Covid-19 Green Certificate.
