Bulgaria is to introduce a lockdown, if Covid-19 morbidity reaches 1,000 new cases per 100,000 people and the number of Covid-19 patients in non-intensive care units exceeds 9,000. In the beginning, we are to introduce a partial lockdown for unvaccinated, Bulgaria’s caretaker Deputy Minister of Health Alexander Zlatanov said in an interview for Nova TV.

Deputy Minister Zlatanov assured that the health ministry was ready to increase the number of intensive-care beds at the expense of other medical services. Bulgaria will negotiate with Greece to send patients for medical treatment if necessary, Alexander Zlatanov added.
