Photo: Rumen Sarandev

On the 36th day after the ship "Vera Su" got stuck near the protected area of "Yailata", experts successfully towed it away from the rocks. The operation with the participation of 3 tow boats lasted more than 7 hours. The ship was directed to the port of Varna. Earlier, the cargo of nitrogen fertilizer was unloaded from the ship to avoid contamination of the ecosystem with urea. While being towed towards Varna, the water entering the ship from holes in the hull is constantly pumped out. The future of the vessel is still unclear as the Turkish shipowner is expected to announce their decision.
