“The debt of Toplofikacia-Sofia heating utility company is putting the country in jeopardy of being left without any gas,” Bulgargaz Executive Director Nikolay Pavlov said in an interview for BGNES.
He added that the debts must be paid by 25 October, so that the gas distribution company can pay off its suppliers. Toplofikacia-Sofia, with principal Sofia municipality, has been having problems with its payments to Bulgargaz for six years and currently owes the gas company 130 million Leva.
“Toplofikacia-Sofia regards its business relations with Bulgargaz and the Bulgarian Energy Holding as if they are credit institutions,” Nikolay Pavlov commented.
