The levels of ammonium nitrogen and nitrite-nitrogen from the water samples taken near the cargo ship Vera Su that ran aground Kamen Bryag are seven times higher than normal.

The monitoring was carried out by experts from the Ministry of Environment and Water. The water samples were taken from a costal station south of the stranded vessel and a coastal station in immediate proximity to the ship’s bow.

Bulgaria’s Ministry of Transport has developed a rescue plan. However, this country’s Ministry of Environment and Water has to decide what to do with the cargo first, the correspondent of the BNR in Dobrich Maya Shturbanova informed.
