19.3% coronavirus positivity rate in Bulgaria in past day

3,469 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 17,981 tests performed, data of coronavirus.bg portal show. 19.3% of the tests have returned positive result. 87.6% of the new infections are among unvaccinated. The number of new Covid-19 cases exceeds 3,450 for the second consecutive day.

The number of active cases of Covid-19 have exceeded 54,000. 5,646 patients are being treated in hospital, 484 of them in intensive care units. 91.49% of the new hospitalizations are among unvaccinated.

93 people have died and 1,169 have been reported cured in the past day. 91.4% of all Covid-19 deaths are among unvaccinated.

7,669 vaccines were administered in Bulgaria on Tuesday. 1,369,817 is the number of people now fully vaccinated in the country. 5,669 third doses of vaccine have so far been administered.
