The initiative committee, which nominated Professor Anastas Gerdzhikov and Colonel Nevyana Miteva for president and vice president, has summited the documents for the registration of the candidates to the Central Election Commission. The candidature of Professor Gerdzhikov and Colonel Miteva is backed by the coalition GERB/SDS, as well as by the Bulgarian Agrarian National Union (BZNS).

Several days ago, Professor Gerdzhikov said that in a possible run-off election, he would back Lozan Panov, nominated from the Justice for All initiative, if he himself does not participate at a runoff voting.
