The 2021 population census in Bulgaria ends at 20.00 pm tonight. Nearly 5.2 million Bulgarians, or 75% of the population, have already taken part in the census, the reporter of the Bulgarian National Radio Dobromir Videv informed.

At the beginning of the campaign, the electronic census was impeded by cyber attacks. Some census takers refused to participate at the census taking campaign because of the coronavirus pandemic. That is why the National Statistical Institute extended the E-census deadline.

Interim data of the 2021 population census is expected around Christmas.
