The Bulgarian Ministry of Interior has identified 12 more employees guilty of police violence against protesters near the building of the Council of Ministers last summer, the ministry's secretary general Petar Todorov told Nova TV. He assured that inspections had already begun against them and the disciplinary proceedings would be completed within days.

"Everyone in the chain - from the executives to the perpetrators will receive a penalty under the Ministry of Interior Act, which provides for disciplinary dismissal," said the Secretary General. According to him, among the reasons for the "unacceptable and shocking" behaviour of the police are the lack of good training, the wrong tactical actions on the part of the commanding staff and the poor instruction.
