11,187 applications have been submitted by Bulgarians who want to vote abroad at the forthcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections on November 14. So far, more than 1,000 applications have been submitted in 3 countries- Turkey (4,273), Great Britain (1,341) and Germany (1,276). Almost 1,000 applications have been submitted in Spain. The number of applications submitted in the United States amounts to just under 700, the Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission Tsvetozar Tomov announced at a briefing.

The application deadline expires on October 19, reminded Tsvetozar Tomov and predicted that between 750 and 800 polling stations will be opened abroad, which means that their number will be close to the number of polling stations set up for the July 11 elections. In his view, most polling stations will be opened in Great Britain and Turkey. Germany allowed Bulgaria to open up to 40 polling stations for the two-in-one election on November 14. Bulgaria is expected to open about 50 polling stations in Spain and the United States.
