There is no need to change our position on the Republic of North Macedonia, despite the expectations that Bulgaria would be subjected to pressure by its European partners during the EU-Western Balkans summit, Bulgaria’s Vice President Iliana Yotova said.

"We will once again repeat that respecting the rights of citizens with Bulgarian identity is most important for us. The official results of the census in the Republic of North Macedonia will be also very important for us. We have received many alarming signals. The destruction of Bulgarian memorials has begun again. In my view, the Bulgaria-North Macedonia Joint Commission on Historical and Educational Issues has not achieved any significant results", Vice President Yotova concluded.
