More than half a million Bulgarians have been infected with Covid-19 since the beginning of the pandemic

Decline of 431 new coronavirus infections per day, yet rate remains high

Bulgaria has reported 2,142 new daily cases of coronavirus in the past day. 11.1% of the 19,237 tests performed returned positive, according to the National Coronavirus Information Portal. Over 13 percent of new cases, or 288 people have been vaccinated.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the number of persons got the infection is above half a million and has reached 500,112. 
The number of active patients is currently 43,520. 548 patients were admitted to hospital in the past day as 8.39% of them have been vaccinated. 

A total of 5,172 people are currently in hospitals as 458 of them are in intensive care. 

In the last 24 hours, 87 people with established Covid-19 have died. 10.3% of them were vaccinated. 1,306 people were reported cured.

A total of 9,014 vaccines were administered on Wednesday. Until now, 1,324,137 Bulgarians have completed the full immunization cycle.
