Two children with Covid-19 have died in the past few days. One was 7 and had a chronic neurological condition, the other was 9. The older child died in a hospital in Plovdiv on 19 September, but as of today is still not in the official daily data issued by the Ministry of Health. An enquiry is currently underway, BNT reports.

The pulmonary diseases hospital in Ruse has been reporting one case of a child who has contracted coronavirus a day, and this is proving a lasting tendency during this wave of the epidemic, BNR’s correspondent Asya Pencheva reports. The youngest patient is a 14-day old baby.

“During the first wave there wasn't a single child. The children started coming in April this year," said the hospital’s administrator Svetoslav Dachev.
