Part of the park in front of the National Palace of Culture downtown Sofia was temporarily cut off this afternoon due to an unexploded shell. The shell was found during excavations conducted by Sofiyska Voda, BNT reported. It has already been transported and will be disposed of at a military training ground.

The projectile is from more than 50 years ago. Before the construction of the Palace of Culture, there were military facilities on the site.
