The Sofia construction control body has found an illegally placed traffic light at the place where electricity killed a child passing through the shaft in front of the Sofia-based St. Ivan Rilski Hospital. An punitive act has been initiated against the mayor of Sofia Yordanka Fandakova as a result of the completed inspection of the site.

It was established that no approved projects and building permits were found in the area of the hospital. The only exception is the issued permit for re-asphalting of the boulevard and replacement of a street water supply system.
The control body points out that the issued statement of findings gives sufficient grounds for removing the traffic light.
