Members of the "Stand up, BG! We're coming!" political party have threatened to file a class action lawsuit against the Bulgarian state at the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg for illegally eavesdropping on 130 citizens and journalists during last year's anti-government protests, said Maya Manolova, chairwoman of the Stand Up BG civil platform.

The formation will submit a request to the Specialized Prosecutor's Office under the Access to Public Information Act to receive the official documents, but if this does not happen, they will appeal the refusal and file a class action.
According to Manolova, wiretapping is a crime that grossly violates civil rights and must be exposed and punished.
