Less than 1% of teachers and students have been quarantined because of Covid-19 or after a contact with an infected person at the beginning of the school year, the Ministry of Education has reported.

The Ministry has access to up-to-date data on those quarantined in the sphere of education, in order to apply local measures according to the guidelines for education in an epidemic, if necessary. Minister Nikolay Denkov has not issued an order for distance learning for entire classes, yet. Teachers also have the opportunity to make decisions related to individual classes.
