National Assembly Committee on Legal Affairs adopts amendments to Judiciary System Act

The National Assembly Committee on Legal Affairs adopted at first reading amendments to the Judiciary System Act. They provide for the closure of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office and the Specialized Court. 

The MPs from the Bulgarian Socialist Party, “There is Such a People” party, the coalition “Stand up BG! We are Coming” and “Democratic Bulgaria” coalition voted in favor. According to the President of the National Assembly Iva Miteva, the amendments to the Judiciary Act are likely to be voted at first reading at the plenary hall on Wednesday during the last sitting of the 46th National Assembly.
