In the last weeks of August and the beginning of September, staple food prices and prices of non-food products and services have risen, indicate the results of a quick survey conducted by the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria. The poll was conducted between August 26 and September 1 and covers 32 goods and services.
In one year only, the price of vegetable oil has increased by 43%. The price of cucumbers went up by nearly 36%. The prices of other essential goods such as bread have also increased significantly.
