ERB party leader Boyko Borissov stated, in Perperikon, that the party’s presidential candidate would be announced very soon.

“The nomination is clear but I think you should stop wasting time on things of minor importance,” the former PM said, addressing journalists. Answering a question whether he would himself enter the battle for President, Boyko Borissov said: “I have never been interested in that post.” In his words the best plan is to nominate a joint right-wing candidate.

Meanwhile, talking to the BNR, GERB party MP Toma Bikov did not rule out the possibility of former President Petar Stoyanov entering the presidential race. Petar Stoyanov was nominated for president in 1996 by GERB’s subsequent coalition partner SDS.
