Patrols monitoring mask-wearing compliance on public transport to be doubled

At the insistence of Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova, the police patrols monitoring mask-wearing compliance in public transport vehicles will be doubled.

The patrols monitoring commercial premises where large crowds gather will also be reinforced. Mayor Fandakov added that mandatory mask-wearing indoors has not been revoked and called on everyone to comply. In her words what is most important at the moment is to relieve the pressure on hospitals.

Another measures envisages mobile vaccination teams at schools and kindergartens as of 1 September. Companies and different organizations with over 25 employees wishing to be vaccinated will be afforded the same opportunity.
