Effects of inflation in Bulgaria are already palpable

The rise in the price of electricity and fuels has led to rising food prices. Gasoline and diesel prices have been the highest since the beginning of the pandemic and are likely to continue to affect the chain, CITUB economist Lyuben Tonev has told BNR.

It is expected that in the autumn and winter, the prices of basic foodstuffs will continue to rise. This requires an update of household incomes, according to the expert.
