Archaeologists discovered a valuable Roman mosaic floor and dozens of new artifacts during excavations at the Sanctuary of the Nymphs and Aphrodite near the village of Kasnakovo, Dimitrovgrad municipality. They shed additional light on the largest building. It is believed that the property was originally the home of Roman general of Thracian origin Titus Flavius and his wife Claudia Montana.

Archaeologists have so far studied the northern and western rooms, which turned out to have bathing and hygienic functions. The Sanctuary of the Nymphs is the best preserved Thracian sanctuary and the only nymphaeum in Bulgaria.
