Bulgaria reports 1,047 new cases of Covid-19 out of 22,979 tests performed

1,047 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 22,979 tests performed, indicate data of the Single Coronavirus Information Portal. More than 4.5% of the tests have returned positive result. 8 medics have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. 1,404 patients are being treated in hospital, 124 of them in intensive care units. 11 people have died and 164 have recovered.

The highest number of new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Sofia-211, followed by Plovdiv district-151 and Burgas district-101.

10,481 vaccines have been administered in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of inoculations against Covid-19 to 2,149,134. There are now 1,069,658 people in Bulgaria with full immunization.
