Tourists along the southern portion of Bulgaria’s Black Sea coastline are up by 125% compared to last summer, the Burgas Regional tourist chamber says. The tourists are mostly Bulgarian, Romanian and Ukrainian, families coming to the country in their own transport which aggravates the parking space problems in the seaside resorts.

This summer the number of charter flights is down by 62% compared to the pre-pandemic 2019, in 2020 the drop in charters was by 80%. Holidaymakers from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Czechia, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, and in part, Poland come to this country by plane. The flights from Russia were resumed in July but the Russians coming to the country are mostly those who own property here.
