Decline marked in number of daily coronavirus infections

There were 429 new coronavirus cases in this country in the past day in comparison to 462 a day earlier. 2% of 20,868 tests returned positive result, according to official data. On Wednesday morning the level was 2.77%. Most of the newly infected are in Sofia - 105. The districts of Plovdiv follows with 56 cases; Burgas - 35, Varna - 29 and Veliko Tarnovo -26. In the district of Smolyan no new infections were reported.

The number of registered coronavirus patients has reached 9,482 as 955 patients are in hospital. 90 of them are in intensive care wards. 4 people with Covid-19 passed away yesterday and there were 52 recoveries.

12,655 vaccines were administered on Wednesday. 1,020,327 people have already completed the immunization process.
