The St. George hospital in Plovdiv is the first hospital in the country to have acquired a revolutionary Covid-19 disinfection robot. The biggest state-run medical establishment in the country obtained it, free of charge, thanks to a commission placed by the EC, BNR-Plovdiv reports.
The robot, which uses UV light and destroys other pathogens as well, is 99.9% effective. The EU has allocated a total of 12 million euro for the purchase of no less than 200 robots for medical establishments, said Tsvetan Kyulkanov, head of the EC representative office in Sofia.
