“GERB’s national council has made the decision for its MPs to remain in the plenary hall and vote against the government nominated by ITN (“There Is such a People”),” stated GERB party leader Boyko Borissov at a press conference.

“GERB-SDS must keep a maximum distance from these parties of hate which do not respect the will of the people and are acting disrespectfully,” Boyko Borissov said and added that ITN was just 0.5% ahead of GERB in the voting at the 11 July election. Slavi Trifonov’s party won the election thanks to the votes cast abroad, he said, and the mandatory machine vote imposed by President Rumen Radev. Borissov added that the country has been thrown into chaos and to hold new elections would be irresponsible.
