ITN and BSP for Bulgaria to continue talks on forming a cabinet

"There is Such a People" has held consultations over forming a government with the parliamentary group of "BSP for Bulgaria". The Socialists described the talks as a good first step towards a dialogue aimed at finding an agreement on forming a government.

According to leader Korneliya Ninova, the meeting shed light on topics and policies on which the two political forces have overlapping positions. However some differences remained. The BSP is against the privatization of the Bulgarian Development Bank and insists that the rise in pensions takes place now. In terms of judicial reform the parties had overlapping position.

She also said that the talks would be discussed tomorrow at the BSP National Council and after the party body gave her a green light, the talks would continue. At the beginning of the consultations, Victoria Vasileva of "There is Such a People" wished the parties to overcome their narrow party interests and to unite in the name of Bulgaria's priorities.
