The Buzludzha Monument will become an immovable cultural value of national significance. This was offered at meeting of the Specialized Expert Council for the Protection of Immovable Cultural Property, convened by order of Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Culture Velislav Minekov, reported BNR Shumen.

The Buzludzha Monument, a giant UFO-line concrete monument, was built in 1981 as a memorial house to the Bulgarian Communist Party. 6,000 people took part in its construction.
