Business is worried about lack of political clarity

Photo: Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association

The Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association has called for an open dialogue on priorities and policies, as well as on the composition of the future government. The country needs a parliament and a government, not new elections, employers said.

The association has called for a predictable business environment and for keeping the working tax model. Concerns about the lack of agreement between political parties on reforms in the energy and climate sector and in the judiciary have been expressed, as well as about updating pensions and their linking to social security income. Bulgaria is at the bottom in terms of prevention costs, but is above the average level when it comes to hospital care, the statement reads.
