Boyko Rashkov: Special intelligence means used against hundreds of participants at last summer’s protests

Bulgaria’s Ministry of Interior is about to complete the investigation into the wiretapping of people who participated at last summer’s antigovernment protests, this country’s caretaker Minister of Interior Boyko Rashkov said in an interview for the BNR. In his words, following a decision of the Bulgarian Prosecutor's Office, hundreds of Bulgarian citizens were controlled with special intelligence means, including politicians, public figures and ordinary citizens. The data collected will be provided to this country’s National Assembly, said Minister Rashkov.

Regarding the interrogation of former Premier Boyko Borissov which took place last week, Boyko Rashkov said the following: "I hope that Borissov will be summoned for questioning on a number of unsolved cases, including the Barcelona case".
