The caretaker Minister of Finance Asen Vassilev told Nova TV that with "There is Such a People" there are fundamental differences in economic policy. He refused the winning party to join its cabinet.

"If we find an understanding that our economic policy is right, we would discuss a constructive option for the future," the minister commented.
He added that he did not see how taxes could be reduced, costs increased and a zero budget deficit reached at the same time. According to Asen Vassilev, in the next two years our country should pursue a balanced policy with the main focus on stopping all leaks.
"With the budget update, we will be able to meet the Covid crisis, update pensions and plan money for healthcare and businesses in the event of a new lockdown," he added.
