Caretaker cabinet starts investigation of masks, drugs, respirators deliveries

The materials of the inspection for respirators, masks and medicines purchased from China for the period of the epidemic emergency situation in Bulgaria have been handed over to the prosecutor's office. This was said by the Deputy Minister of Health Dr. Dimitar Petrov in front of the Horizon Channel of the Bulgarian National Radio.

The inspection showed that these were higher than market prices. Standard reconciliation practices were circumvented, and contract signing, invoicing and payments took place within one day. The contracts do not contain penalties. There was a delivery deadline of 20 days, which was not met in any of the cases. The common denominator between these procedures speaks of extremely non-transparent management, Petrov explained.
