Good start for Bulgaria's female tennis players at Wimbledon

Bulgaria's Tsvetana Pironkova easily qualified for the second round of qualifications for Wimbledon, in London, in her 14th participation in the Grand Slam tournament.
Bulgaria's leading tennis player defeated in 58 minutes with 6:1, 6:0 the American Usue Maitane Arconada. For her qualification, Pironkova earned 20 points for the world rankings, where she is now 103rd.
Her next opponent in London will be determined in the match between Reka Luca Jani (Hungary) and the British Naiktha Baines participating with a "wild card".

Bulgaria's tennis players Viktoriya Tomova and Elitsa Kostova followed Pironkova's example in the championship. Tomova prevailed over the Spaniard Irene Burillo Escorihuela​ with 6:2, 6:2. Tomova took 20 points for the world rankings, where she is ranked 105th now. Her next opponent will be American Danielle Lao, who is outside the top 200 in the rankings.

Elitsa Kostova defeated Destanee Ayava from Australia with 6:4, 7:5 after 82 minutes of play
