Slight increase in number of newly registered Covid-19 cases

161 is the number of newly registered coronavirus cases out of 13,200 tests performed in the country in the past 24 hours, a positivity rate of 1.22%, the Single Coronavirus Information Portal shows.

The highest number of new infections is in Sofia-city – 40,followed by Plovdiv - 20 and Stara Zagora - 10. One new case has been reported in each of the regions - Veliko Turnovo, Vratsa and Kyustendil, no new infections have been registered in Silistra.

The number of active cases is 11,751.

2,097 is the number of patients being treated in hospital, 142 down on the previous day. 241 coronavirus patients are in intensive care. 17 have died, 583 have recovered in the past day.

15,474 doses of vaccine have been administered over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of vaccinations to 1,602,136.

713,244 people in the country are fully vaccinated.
