Sofia Pride – the march in support of the LGBTI community (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or intersex) - is taking place in the capital of Bulgaria today.
The Pride has been organized in Sofia every year since 2008. Bulgaria is one of the six EU countries with no legal recognition for same-sex couples.
As usual a counter-march will be taking place organized by the nationalist party VMRO.
