Bulgarian caretaker Minister of Interior Boyko Rashkov has been deprived of access to classified information because he was disclosing such information, the former Deputy Chairman of the State Agency for National Security Nedyalko Nedyalkov said.

Rashkov's access was taken away personally by Nedyalkov, who added that at a meeting with caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev he was asked for all the information about the broken Russian spy network in Bulgaria. At the same meeting, Rashkov asked why access to classified information was not denied to Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev.

Nedyalkov said that he would sue the state for illegal dismissal on the grounds of "systematic failure to perform official duties and damaging the prestige of the Agency."
