Unit 6 of Kozloduy NPP is temporarily operating at half of its capacity, the power plant has reported. The reason is the shutdown of a pump in the non-nuclear part of the unit. The necessary inspections of the equipment are being performed. The power of the unit will be increased again after it is confirmed that all systems and equipment are working normally. There is no change in the radiation situation on the site of the nuclear power plant.

The other one of Kozloduy's two operating units – Unit 5, is currently not operating because it has been undergoing regular annual repairs.
