U.S. Embassy in Bulgaria and Russia’s Embassy in Sofia greet Bulgarians on occasion of May 24

The U.S. Embassy in Bulgaria has greeted Bulgarians on the occasion of May 24. “We celebrate together with you! Happy Day of Saint Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and of Slavic literature!”, the U.S. diplomats wrote of the Facebook page of the U.S. Embassy in Bulgaria. “Today we celebrate together with our friends in Bulgaria and abroad. Happy Day of Sts Cyril and Methodius”, the U.S. Ambassador to Sofia Herro Mustafa said in a video message.

The Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Bulgaria Eleonora Mitrofanova also greeted Bulgarians in a video which was filmed in front of the National Library in Sofia and posted on the embassy's Facebook page. "Undoubtedly, Bulgaria's role in the formation and the spread of the Slavic script, language and culture is invaluable and indisputable," said Ambassador Mitrofanova.
