Bulgaria marks 65th anniversary of its membership in UNESCO

President Rumen Radev held a video conference meeting with the UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay on the occasion of the 65th anniversary since Bulgaria’s accession to the international organization. 

“True European unification is built on shared cultural values, not on financial resources”, Rumen Radev noted. President Radev and Audrey Azoulay have discussed ways to deepen the partnership between Bulgaria and UNESCO in education, science and culture. Rumen Radev expressed Bulgaria’s support for Audrey Azoulay who will run for another term as Director General of UNESCO.
