Former Bulgarian Football Union President Borislav Mihaylov withdrew his resignation a day after Bulgaria’s most successful national goal scorer of all time Dimitar Berbatov announced his plans to run for the post. Mihaylov announced his intention to complete his term of office. Thus, the extraordinary congress of the Bulgarian Football Union scheduled for June 25, 2021, was automatically postponed. “I have not watched Berbatov’s press conference. I wish him luck at the forthcoming congress next year”, commented Borislav Mihaylov.
