Dimitar Berbatov is going to run for president of the Bulgarian Football Union at the upcoming congress. He announced this himself at a press conference held today.

My work team and I have decided to achieve a symbiosis between people in football and people who have been in business for a long time," the star of Bayer Leverkusen, Tottenham and Manchester United said.

Berbatov has 48 goals for the national team of Bulgaria and tops the list of this country’s most successful national goal scorers of all time. He has received the "Bulgarian Footballer of the Year" award seven times.
