Holy Synod: This year the Holy Fire will be brought to Bulgaria on Easter

This year the Holy Fire is expected to be brought from Jerusalem to Bulgaria. This was announced by the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church for BGNES agency.
Due to Israel's requirements for visitors to be vaccinated against Covid-19 and to have a negative PCR test done 24 hours before the trip, the delegation of the Holy Synod will be limited. 
The prayer of the Holy Fire is traditionally performed on the eve of Easter on Holy Saturday.
Last year, because of the pandemic, for the first time in 15 years, the Holy Fire was not brought to Bulgaria from the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, but a sparkle of the one brought in 2019 was used.
